In 1996, she earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Legal Studies/Public Law through an ABA approved paralegal program at Ball State University. While employed as a paralegal in Anderson, Nickie assisted attorneys in the areas of personal injury, appellate law, criminal law, and family law. Since joining Hovde Dassow & Deets, LLC in 1998, Nickie has specialized in the areas of personal injury, medical malpractice, product liability, and pharmaceutical litigation. In 2008, she earned the highest level of certification (PACE Registered Paralegal) and is now recognized for her accomplishment through NFPA for the State of Indiana. She is a proud member of the National Federation of Paralegal Associations, the Indianapolis Bar Association, and the Indiana Paralegal Association.

Through her education, experience, and knowledge, Nickie strives to achieve the expectations required of a paralegal In assisting the attorneys through all aspects of a case. She prides herself in concentrating on details and keeping clients well-informed throughout the litigation process.
