Hancock County crash leaves one dead, another critically injured

A 2013 Toyota Corolla and a 2017 Ram 1500 pickup truck collided Sunday night near the 7600 block of Hancock County Road 300 North.

The cars where traveling in opposite directions prior to the crash and slammed into each other after the pickup truck drifted over the center line.

The driver of the Toyota, 61, was pronounced dead at the scene. The front-seat passenger, 61, was found unconscious and sent to an area hospital for care. He is reportedly in critical condition. The driver of the pickup truck suffered minor injuries.

Police are unsure what caused the accident, and an investigation remains underway.
