Motor vehicle accidents are incredibly common in Indiana and throughout the country. Fortunately, most of these accidents are so-called “fender benders.” But, we all know that some motor vehicle accidents can be quite severe – even deadly.
According to a recent report, that was the case in a head-on collision that occurred just north of Indianapolis, in Carmel. The reports indicate that a Lexus was traveling eastbound on 96th Street when a Mercedes coming from the other direction slammed into it head-on. A 79-year-old man who was a passenger in the Lexus died, and the driver of that car was hospitalized with serious injuries. To top it off, two other vehicles were reportedly involved in the collision as well. At least three other people were treated for injuries as a result of the collision.
